An abandoned peanut factory in downtown San Antonio will be completely transformed into a 90-unit apartment and townhome complex, thanks in part to the engineering and consulting services of local civil engineering firm BIG RED DOG.

BIG RED DOG will provide civil engineering and entitlements services for the project, which is set to break ground at the beginning of 2014. B & A Architects is overseeing the contemporary and eco-friendly design.

The current estimate on the project is stated at $10 million. BIG RED DOG was contracted due to its strong ties to urban development in the San Antonio area. Other recent projects announced include Elan Riverwalk apartments, set for development on the former Univision site.

Developer for the project is MissionDG.
