Opportunity Home and Mission Development Group (Mission) Celebrate Aspire at Tampico Apartments Grand Opening

Opportunity Home San Antonio is celebrating the grand opening of the Aspire at Tampico Apartments, a $22 million 200-unit complex that sits on more than three acres of land at 218 Tampico St., near Downtown San Antonio.

An affordable rental housing community for residents who make between 30 and 60% of the area median income, Aspire at Tampico features modern amenities including a resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, rooftop terraces, wood-style flooring and a full-sized washer and dryer set.

“As the City of San Antonio endures an affordable housing crisis, I’m pleased we can bring much-needed affordable housing to our families, particularly in the near Westside” said Ed Hinojosa, Jr., Opportunity Home President and CEO.

Residents have easy-to-commute walking and biking access to popular destinations in the urban core including Hemisfair Park, UTSA Downtown Campus and more.

The development was made possible with the support of Mission Development Group, a real estate development company specializing in multifamily and mixed-use projects.

Aspire at Tampico Grand Opening 3We appreciate the collaborative vision and hard work with Opportunity Home that brought this worthy project to the Westside,” said Mark Tolley, Managing Partner of Mission Development Group. “The most satisfying part is to hear the wonderful comments from our happy new residents, who are thrilled with the resort style amenities, quality construction and walkable proximity to downtown” added Tolley.
